Children's & Families Ministry Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated person to join our team as a Children & Families Ministry Leader. As the Children & Families Ministry Leader, you will have the opportunity to oversee our children's ministries, disciple young people, and provide spiritual guidance and support to parents nurturing their children's faith. You will be responsible for welcoming new families into our church through outreach initiatives. Additionally, you will be the primary point of contact for new and existing families, ensuring they feel supported within our church community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop children's ministries, ensuring programmes are in place to foster spiritual growth in children and young people.

  • Disciple children and young people through teaching (catechesis) and enabling their participation in the worship and life of the church.

  • Prepare families and children for baptism and/or confirmation.

  • Support and come alongside parents, providing resources and guidance for the nurturing of their children.

  • Engage in outreach initiatives to welcome new families, maintaining and creating opportunities for them to connect with the church.

  • Collaborate with the Rector, PCC and church staff to align ministry efforts and work towards a common goal of people flourishing in the faith.
