Congratulations to St James' cricket team who played their first match on Sunday (21st July) at St Barnabas Church, Beanacre, against Melksham church. It was the teams first game together after only one practice and they all played incredibly well.
The end result was really close and for a while it looked like we might win! The final score was 90 to Melksham Church and 85 to St James.
We were blessed with perfect weather and it was a really fun afternoon for players and spectators alike. Thank you to everyone who took part, helped organise or just came along to watch. A special thank you goes to Melksham church for hosting and providing an excellent BBQ.
