WHAT'S ON

We are delighted to have been able to restart our services, at present one each Sunday in each of our churches: 9:15am in St Leonard's and 10:45am in St James'.

Our plan is to take one safe step forward at a time and gradually to build up what we can confidently deliver. Both churches are well equipped with hand sanitiser which everyone will be asked to use on the way in, and seating will be marked out to ensure safe distancing. It is each person's decision as to whether or not to wear a mask. If you wish, please feel free to bring your own Bible. We will hear pre-recorded hymns, but we will not be singing. If numbers coming to St James' exceed capacity, then we will have safely spaced seating in the church hall, to which the service will be streamed live.

Folk at home will also be able to participate through the internet at the same time or later from a recording as now. We will provide the necessary link next Saturday. Do join us one way or another!

Do please keep visiting this page as we will give you regular updates on anything that may be happening that you may wish to be involved in.

*Mini Melodies Open Air Shows at 10:00 & 11:00 (both shows will be the same): little ones will love the nursery rhymes, stories and silly hats and grownups will have a good time too! This special format of Mini Melodies will have a festival feel to it - families will be able to sit (socially distanced) on the Churchyard around an outdoor stage. This will be open to all, including those who've not been to Mini Melodies before, but please note that it will be very much geared towards under 5s. Older siblings are welcome to attend but will need to stay in their family bubbles. If the weather is wet, then we will postpone the Mini Melodies shows to another date in the holidays.

**Creation Base: children aged up to approx.. 11 can drop in anytime between 10:00 until noon to make a craft. There we be a few craft options available to suit different ages. Parents and carers need to stay with their children for this activity, but there will be leaders from St James' on hand to show the children what to do and to have a chat - maintaining social distancing! There will be no charge and no need to book in advance - just pop by if you can! If the weather is wet, then we will postpone the Creation Base to another date in the holidays.

Please contact our children's worker Tom Bullock for further details of either event. Tel: 07858 821148 or E-mail tom@stjamestrowbridge.co.uk

I’m sad that I won’t be doing various craft activities with you all, but I’m sure you have plans (as I do!) to do your own crafts at home. During the time we are closed, I will be adding a few craft activities ideas to our St James Church Toddlers Facebook Group, just in case you feel inspired! Look forward to seeing you all soon!
